The Polimino Family
Jennifer has four brothers and two sisters and was lucky enough to grow up in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Currently she lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband, Dan, and their two children, Micah and Malia Grace. They have been married for almost 18 years and they long to return to Hawaii someday soon.
Throughout much of her adult life, Jennifer’s mission has been to teach people how to live a healthy lifestyle through exercise and nutrition. But for the past 15 years, her primary ministry is being a supportive wife, a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling their children, and writing Christian prayers and books. But her life wasn't always like this. Click here to read her entire testimony.
Pray For Your Marriage
We make 18 years in November!
Marriage has been extremely difficult for Dan and I and we have struggled over the last 18 years. Sadly, we have come close to getting a divorce. But God stepped in recently and saved our marriage!
We have been though many difficult years of marriage. We went to many different counselors but it didn't seem to help, but we were headed for destruction. All we seemed to do was point our finger at the other person. But in April 2018, we joined Re/engage through our local church and it has completely turned our marriage around!
Each week, the leaders walked us through what God says about our marriage and focused on our relationship with the Lord. We had to come clean with ourselves and our spouse. We had to "stay in our own circle" and admit that "I am the biggest problem in my marriage." This class gave us the tools we so desperately needed to use in our marriage.
God put us in an amazing group with 4 other couples and I can't tell you how much of a blessing they have been in our lives! The Bible clearly says that we are to be in community with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Dan and I had never followed that advice before, but I can honestly say, that has been the most encouraging and rewarding blessing of all!
I highly recommend joining a Re/engage group near you , wether your marriage is a 2 or a 9. You must start in the open group, but I encourage you to get enveloped in a small group as soon as possible!
Also, I wrote these weekly prayers that coincide with the Re/engage book. I encourage you to download them and pray these prayers over your marriage each week as you go though your Re/engage book together. Or, if it is not available in your town, ask your church what marriage help they provide and commit to working through your issues. Remember, "I am the biggest problem in my marriage" and divorce is never an option!
Last tip: Pray together daily! God can soften your hearts and He can restore your marriage! I promise, we are living proof! When we spend time with the Lord together, it draws us closer and we find hope and the strength we need to fight this ongoing battle against the evil one!
I believe that teaching you children to memorize scripture is vital in this day and age. We need to teach them to put on the Full Armor of God so they can take a stand against the devil's schemes. Read more...
Teaching Your Children About Jesus
There are many different organizations that can help you child to learn about the bible. These are some of our favorites that we used to help you teach the Bible to our children. And you know what, you might learn something as well!
There is nothing more important then to know that your children are walking with the Lord. How will you keep them from falling away from Him? Do you have a battle plan?
More then ever, we need to pray for our country! There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by that there is not another shooting or terrorist attack. Hear in America, we have asked God to get out of our schools, homes, and our lives. Please join me and pray that God will heal our country and put His loving hand of protection over us once again.
Is you child ready to ask Jesus into his or her heart? Mercy is deliverance from judgment and according to the Bible, we have ALL sinned and fall short of the glory of God. As a result of that sin, we all deserve death, but Jesus came down from heaven and had mercy on us...
