The Polimino FamilyDSC_0149

Jennifer has four brothers and two sisters and was lucky enough to grow up in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Currently she lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband, Dan, and their two children, Micah and Malia Grace. They have been married for almost 18 years and they long to return to Hawaii someday soon.

Throughout much of her adult life, Jennifer’s mission has been to teach people how to live a healthy lifestyle through exercise and nutrition. But for the past 15 years, her primary ministry is being a supportive wife, a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling their children, and writing Christian prayers and books. But her life wasn't always like this. Click here to read her entire testimony.

Pray For Your Marriage
IMG_2152We make 18 years in November!

I just have to say, marriage is extremely difficult! So I encourage you to Pray For Your Marriage, because simply put, prayer works! Dan and I have struggled over the years and have come close to getting a divorce. I prayed and prayed for years and God heard me.

Just recently, we have deiced that we are going to honor the covenant that we made with each other and with God and have committed to never get a divorce.... ever! We have been through many hard years of counseling, and some of it was helpful.

About 10 weeks ago, we joined a Re/engage group through our church and it has done wonders for our marriage! Each week, the leaders walk us through the guide and the main focus is on you and your relationship with the Lord --it takes it to a new level. The book also gives you tools to use in your marriage and the best part about the Re/engage model is the community. You are in a group with about 4-5 other couples and I can't tell you how much of a blessing they have been in our lives! The Bible clearly says that we are to be in community with our brothers and sisters. Dan and I had never followed that advice before for our marriage and I can honestly say that has been the most encouraging  and rewarding piece of the puzzle.

Also, I wrote these weekly prayers here that coincide with the Re/engage book. I encourage you to download them and pray these prayers over your marriage each week and to find a re/engage group (or something like it) in your area. Or you ask your church what marriage help they provide and commit to working through all of your issues, that everyone has and decide that divorce is never an option!

Another tip is to pray together daily. God can soften your hearts and we found hope and the strength when we spent time together with the Lord. To Read more Click Here.

Is you child ready to ask Jesus into his or her heart? Mercy is deliverance from judgment and according to the Bible, we have ALL sinned and fall short of the glory of God. As a result of that sin, we all deserve death, but Jesus came down from heaven and had mercy on us...
